MORe: Natashia Boland's Research Interest - Mine Optimisation
Begun as collaboration with BHP-Billiton (Dr Gary Froyland, Dr Merab Menabde) with Honours project in 2002. BHP-Billiton then sponsored the student to do a PhD, begun in 2003. Awarded an ARC Linkage grant with funding from BHP-Billiton for project on open-pit mine optimisation. Second PhD student also started in 2003, looking at underground mine optimisation, now under sponsorship from the company Australian Mining Consultants. Supervisions in 2003 joint with Prof. Peter Taylor.
