MORe: Natashia Boland's Research Interest - Integer programming methods for delivery logistics problems.

 

Applied problem arising via consulting work with the Operations Research Group Pty Ltd (ORG) on optimal combinations of service providers for international shipping deliveries. Collaboration with ORG personnel.

Inventory Routing.

Supplier management of inventory at customer sites opens up new opportunities for trading off risk of customer shortage against cost of re-supply. Building on mathematics underlying RAS operations (DSTO project), but with applications across a wide range of business/industry settings. Joint with Prof. Peter Taylor, one vacation student 2003, PhD student commenced in 2003.
