MORe: Professor Robert (Bob) Johnston

Short Biography

Bob is Emeritus Professor of Chemical Engineering at Monash University and a Honorary Professorial Fellow in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne. Bob has just recently retired from the positions of Director of both the Australian Pulp and Paper Institute and the National Printing Laboratory. He was also Deputy CEO of the CRC for Functional Communication Surfaces.

 

Consulting Activities

Bob has over 30 years of operations research consulting experience, mainly in the manufacturing sector. He has completed major consultancies with Australian Newsprint Mills (Tasmania, NSW), Associated Pulp and Paper Mills (Tasmania, NSW), ARC-Humes (Melb), Thames Board Mills (UK), Papeteries de Voiron (France), Sunshine Group Industries (Melb), Material Technology Ltd (Sydney), MM Cables (Melb), Smorgon-ARC (Australia wide), Jujo Paper Co. (Japan), Amcor Australasia, and Kimberly Clarke Australia.
